I am in the process of building my teaching portfolio. The graduate program at Uconn is designed such that graduate students get considerable teaching experience during their stay here. I hope to teach an Introductory course (e.g, PSYC 132) a quantitative course ( e.g 202 WQ) and Psychology of Language to expand my current list!

List of courses I have taught/been a TA for:

Instructor of Record, Psychology 256:   Cognitive Psychology (Spring 2007)

This was my first foray into teaching a complete course. My responsibilities as an Instructor of Record included everything from designing the syllabus, the content of the course, assignments, examinations and the grading scheme. I found this experience to be both challenging and rewarding and it is reassuring to know that I could turn to many people for advice, suggestions and criticisms!

Lab instructor, Psychology 132:   General Psychology (2 semesters, Fall 2004, Fall 2006)

My responsibility included introducing basic experimentation in Psychology. Examples of demonstrations covered in this class are Stroop Effect, Visual Search, Level of Processing etc. The overall structure of these labs was predetermined and I was expected to come up with lesson plans within this established structure. While these labs did not allow for a lot of freedom in terms of topics to be covered, they served as a stage for acquiring basic teaching skills under watchful eyes.
