Research interests

Cognition and action "in the wild" occur in rich contexts. My research explores how information from multiple sources is integrated in naturalistic tasks, using a combination of empirical methods (standard lab tasks, eye tracking, and EEG/ERP) and computational modeling. My primary area of interest is spoken language comprehension. My other interests include: psycholinguistics in general, eye movements, vision (object recognition and scene perception), categorization, learning, reasoning and decision making (click here to see details regarding current and recent projects, and here to see a list of papers and presentations, with some downloadable manuscripts). Teaching

So far, I teach two undergraduate courses here: PSYC 256, Cognitive Psychology, and PSYC 202QW, Research Methods in Psychology. Syllabi are available via WebCT. I'll put links here soon.

I also teach two graduate courses. I'm teaching "The Mental Lexicon" in Spring, 2006, and "Cognition" in Fall, 2006.
